Sources
Sources for your topic input can include traditional news agencies, social media channels, or RSS feeds. In the Sources section of the topic, you can create or manage source channels and view and search their messages and posts.
Add or remove source
You can add new sources or remove existing sources.
- Click the New Source button in the header of the content area.
→ The source editing window opens.
Edit sources
You can edit the existing sources in the Add or Remove Sources .
- Click the New Source button in the header of the content area.
→ The source editing window opens.
Enable or disable source
You can activate or deactivate your sources in the Sources menu bar on the left. Messages for each activated source are displayed in the content area. You can only perform a full-text search on activated sources. Deactivated sources are not included.
- Click the eye icon at the right end of a listed source.
→ The source has been enabled/disabled.
When sources are deactivated, the eye symbol is gray and crossed out . When sources are enabled, the eye symbol is orange and not crossed out

Change source view
There are three options for the display type: title , list or column view .
Open title view
In the title view, the sources are displayed in a tile grid. The sources are sorted from top left to bottom right in descending order of relevance. The most recent sources are at the top left.
- Click the Title View icon to display the title view.
→ The title view is displayed in the content area.
Open list view
The list view displays the source posts line by line across the entire width of the content area. The most recent post is in the first line, with the most recent posts decreasing in order of relevance.
- Click the List View icon to switch to list view.
→ The list view is displayed in the content area.
Open column view
In column view, each source is listed in its own scrollable column in the content area. The most recent feed, post, or article is displayed at the top of each column.
- Click the Column View icon to display the column view.
→ The column view is displayed in the content area.
The Sources menu bar
The menu bar is located on the left side of the screen.
You can expand or collapse the menu bar by clicking on the hamburger icon ☰.
Source list
After selecting the Sources tab in the header, you'll see the Search text input field in the menu bar, and below it, a list of the sources you've already created. The list is grouped by source categories, for example, all Twitter sources and then all Facebook sources (recognizable by the icon on the left side of each row).
If you have not entered anything in the search text input field, the content area will list the posts from all sources that have been activated in the menu bar.
On the right side of each list entry, you will see an eye icon that indicates whether the source is enabled or disabled. If the eye icon is crossed out (disabled), ), the source in question will not be considered in a full-text search. When a source is activated, the eye is orange and not crossed out.

Search selected sources (full-text search)
- In the Search text input field, enter the term you want to search for within the enabled sources.
The search term does not have to be typed completely, but enter at least three letters. - Start the search with the Enter key (Enter or Return).
→ The search result is displayed in the content area.

Change the display of sources
There are three options for the display type: title , list or column view .
- Click one of the three view buttons in the header of the Source content area.
→ The selected view is displayed in the content area.
Update results display
You can refresh the view of source posts in the content area at any time. This way, you'll always see the most recent posts and stay up to date.
- Select the Refresh button in the header of the content area.
→ The active sources in the content area are updated.
Add or remove source
You also have the option to add new sources.
- Click the New Source button in the header of the content area.
→ The source editing window opens.
Create new topic
You can create a new topic in the header of the content area.
- Click the New Topic button in the header of the content area.
→ The topic editing window opens.
The footer in the source content area
In title view and list view, a footer is displayed in the content area.
Set the number of hits per page
The footer of the content area on the left shows how many hits your current menu bar setting results in – possibly in conjunction with the full-text search or other filters.
- On the right side of the footer, select how many hits should be displayed in the content area at the same time.
Go to another results page
- Scroll forward or backward through the results pages by clicking on one of the arrows in the navigation field in the middle of the footer.
